The Rays for Real?

I can not bellieve what we are seeing down here in Fla/ The Marlins and now the Rays. What has become of this universe? Where are tne Mets and the Yankees? Hohpefully, both lost in the cesspool of the great state of perpetual Bull Shit. However, lets be fair and admit that the Yanks need talent and the Mets need a new Manager. The Rays may surprise a lot of people as their pitching staff is living up to its expectations and their line up is looking better and better with each passing day. The Marlins are a surprise and I do not expectd them to stay at the top of that division and expect that the Mets will rebound and take this division. However. lets talk about the Rays. Never a winning season for their 12 years in the league. What kind of treacherous frivolity is this? Well, they look to be gaining a lot of confidence and this 3 game series with the Bosox will be a good tgest for them. I hope that Jondude in Cleveland watches this series as the Indians need to more emulate these 2 teams, rather than the Detroit Tigers.

An upside down season so far... I don't care who wins, as long as the Yankees lose.

The Tribe is hurting. First the team-wide batting slump. Now the bullpen can't get the job done and two starting pitchers are on the DL. Hafner is probably done for most of the season, too. Grady and Martinez were the batters who kept them going when all the other players were swinging at air. Now Sizemore and Martinez are whiffing their bats at balls that hit in front of the plate! Throw in the fact that the bulk of the team are rookies from Buffalo and you have Chicago or Minnesota winning the division. BTW: CC Sabathia is on the trading market. I told you so.

The Rays are hot. I love it! Reminds me of that movie about Jim Morris, the middle-aged pitcher from Texas, who played in their minor league system before going up to the big show for a couple years. Ever see it?
