Nascar Champ 4x Running

Hard to imagine anyone winning 4 titles, nevermind, that Jimmy Johnson did it and did it in 4 consecutive years. His teammate, Jeff Gordon, has also won 4, however, the last one being in 2001. When Gordon was "young", he was invinsible, so it seemed. Nascar came along and changed the format as to how to determine the Champion by installing the 10 race format. Never mind what you accomplished in the previous 26 races, that does not matter and you can take your 100 or 200 point lead and kiss it good bye.
Seems that the management at Nas car is interested in competing with the NFL and MLB in the Fall. So, to hell with the first 26 races, as the final 10 will determine the Champ[ion out of 12 drivers.
Gordon would have had 1 if not 2 more championships if the old format were still in play.. However, this is not to take anything away from Jimmy Johnson. He and his team have proven that they are the team in this racing sport. The man and his team just may make it 5 in a row next year. He is on a roll and the Hendricks men had a 1-2-3 finish in the Championship standings. "Old" Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon rounded out the top 3. The 4th member of the Hendricks team, let me see if I can recall the name, err, Earnhardt, as in Jr came to this team with great expectations and has yet to fullfill them. The biggest mistake, driver wise, that Hendricks made was letting Kyle Bush go and bringing in Jr for his 4th driver.
Here's to the 48 team. Had one hell of a year!
