I do not get to agitated about politics, as,at my age I know that it does not do one any good as, unfortunately, the government is controlled by lobbying, However, the bail out plan is in my craw as an idiotic bit of legislation. What do the Republicans want most? I believe lower Corporate Taxation is high on their list. How about the Demos? Put people to work with fixing the infrastructure. Sure, this is a good quick solution. However, lets be realistic. People have self worth when they are working and supplying their families with a means to subsist. Sooo, how about cutting a deal with Corporate America that says we will allow you to pay a minimum tax, If, and this is a big if, you bring back industry to this country and put Americans back to work. People making money usually spend it and guess what? Perhpas the economy gets the boost that is needed and then the infrastructure deals will be icing on the cake. I do not know what in the hell out leaders are doing when they continue to snub their noses at an obvious solution to our economic problems. Put people back to work and the economy will take care of it self.
