Back from Vacation

Today is my first day back from vacation. I had some anxiety and stress coming into work, but now that I'm here I'm feeling OK, for now anyways. Vacation was a blast! Mike's sister's wedding was b-e-autiful!! His parents live in RI, but the wedding was in Mass, and we stayed at a hotel in Conn. So I've been all over New England haha! Wednesday we arrived and spent time with the fam. Bonded a lot with his little sister, she's a sweetie. Thursday his Mom, sis, and I all went to the beach and then headed up to the hotel in Conn. Friday was spent at the spa getting mani's and pedi's with the wedding party while then men folk played golf. Friday night was the rehearsal at the church, and then dinner at this awesome pizza joint. Saturday was the Wedding... She was so happy. Her day went perfectly from the dress, to the hair, to the limos, to her walk down the aisle ( while crying),to the exchange of vows ( more crying), to the reception. The reception was at this gorgeous country club ( where the men folk played golf the day before). Hills and tress everywhere... Open bar lasted the first hour, they were announced, they danced, and then I cried my eyes out while she danced with her father to Heartland's " I loved her first". Food was delish, and the music played all night long. Mike and I danced and laughed, and entertained... it was lovely. Weddings always make me want to get married. I've been planning mine in my head, re playing it over and over since we left lol. I am a hopeless romantic.
Sunday we slept in and then went to this really neat place called Sturbridge Village. It's a whole village made up of Saw Mill's, meeting houses, and all kinds of places that represent the way that life was 150 years ago. It was huge and they had homemade ice cream. Then Monday we went to this ritzy town and walked the "Cliff Walk". It was amazing. By far my favorite part of the trip. The ocean and beach is on one side of you, while million dollar mansions are on the other side. The view was breath taking. It was so calming... I his Mom if they did weddings there and she said " yeah for $100,000"!! Eh, too bad lol. Overall my trip was great! Just what I needed; a break from my drama filled life!
Classes have started and so it's that busy bee time of the year. Since I missed so much time at work I'm prolly gonna just work right through the weekend. It sucks, but I need the money. Oh yeah... I will be 21 in 3 weeks!!! Words cannot even describe my excitement! Mike was gonna surprise me and take me to Atlantic City- his sister accidentally ruined my surprise but we are still going!! Whoo Hoo! I think I am seeing the light at the end of this dark tunnel...finally.
