Not that ... it was my mouth. I had a tooth that was killing me. It has been bad for quite awhile. It slowly chipped away during my pregnancy. I never had any pain with it.

Then back in August, I started to get some pain but it was not bad ... a couple ibuprofen and I was fine. Then a few week back I learned what a true tooth ache was. The pain was so bad it radiated throughout the whole side of my face. It came in waves that would bring tears to my eyes. Ibuprofen no longer helped. I went to my family doctor since I was not sure how to get dental care covered. She gave me a script for Ultram.

One dose of that and I knew I could not take that again. I have vertigo and the way I felt was way worse than my worst vertigo attack. I spent my lunch hour at work sleeping in one of the patient chairs. The very thought of food made me sick. Well, after a couple days the pain went away. I was hoping it was gone for good but I was wrong. It came back with a vengeance. But I had been to this community baby shower and a clinic in the area that does dental was there. The woman running the booth told me how my insurance would cover it. I was so happy.

So I went in and the dentist looked at it and he put a temporary filling in it. The pain was gone. Well ... it was for a few days. It slowly came back. So After suffering over the weekend I went in bright and early Monday morning. The clinic does walk-in appointments if it is considered an emergency.

I was in line with all the other walk-ins. The nurse when she opened the door said that they were only going to take four for the morning. I was fifth in line. I have to thank the gentleman who was in front of me. As everyone else was going up to the desk to sign in, he steppe doff to the side. His wife/girlfriend asked if he was going in. He said no right now... I am going to let her go instead (meaning me). I thanked him but I do not know if he knows how grateful I was to him.

As a walk-in ... you have to wait as they see their regular appointments as well as us. So after sitting in the waiting room for over two hours ... I finally got called in. I told the dentist that the temporary filling didn't work. The only other thing that they could do was pull the tooth. I had no problem with that. I am not going to go into all the gory details but after fighting with it for over 20 minutes it finally came out. It is wonderful to no longer have pain in my face.
