GUN CONTROL It was the time that the kids in school were all getting that Salk vaccine for polio. I'm not sure if I was in elementary or junior high school that I took the syringe from the doctor's office to use as a water gun. I ended up giving it or selling it I think to one of the more "less innocent tough guys" at school . Well, my parents must have been shocked when somehow the syringe was confiscated by the police and the tough guy revealed his source....little innocent me. !!! I assure you I could not be any less knowledgeable about what other use this syringe was being used for by this other guy. The police came to our home quite menacingly I recall but finally realized the benign use I had taken it for. I don't think those water soaker water guns today would get any near that reaction from our local Officer Krupke."
