The Bible admonishes God’s preachers to“reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.†(2Timothy 4:2).
While it should be done in love, it still should be done,(Ephesians 4:15). “They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightlyâ€. (Amos 5:10)
When church members are not able to “Dwell together in unity,†there could be something in the church that does not
please the Lord. “When a man ‘s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.†(Proverbs 16:7)
How many of us love the Bible more than our necessary food? Job did. “Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.†(Job 23:12) It seems that the Psalmist also did—“O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.â€
We will suffer loss if we neglect and delay to obey the Word of God. Satan may succeed in keeping us from ever obeying it. However, there is a way to keep this from happening. Do not put it off—“I made haste, and delayed not to keep Thy commandments.†(Psalm 119:60)
The person who has it hard here in this world is not necessarily the person who has no money. It is the person that has no morals. (Proverbs 13:15)
Remember, the most important thing we need to do if we want the Lord to help us in the future is to give Him thanks for helping us in the past. ------------
