FAIR DINKUM


A neighbor a couple of houses down from our place bought a brand new poptop caravan about 9 months ago. At the same time a nearly new 4wd appeared in the driveway. The owner then built a new gate in the front fence, a new concrete pad for the caravan (beside the existing garage). Now these neighbors are not the most friendly souls so we observed the changes and thought they would be enjoying the camping lifestyle soon. The caravan has only left the house once so far and we think it was back to the supplier for some minor repair. We also noticed the caravan pulled froward in the yard and the awning out and the roof raised on a few occasions but it never left the yard. This Thursday the gates were opened, the 4wd hooked up and the caravan was moved froward 3-4' again, the 4wd was released and moved back into the garage. On Friday morning the awning was out, the roof was up and there was movement inside. After spending Easter camped in their caravan, the couple arrived back home, shut the caravan up and unlocked their front door. My wife, as ladies do, was talking to the neighbor next to the campers and got the story. Apparently the chap bought the caravan to go traveling, the wife doesn't know if she will enjoy it so every long weekend etc, they go camping in their front yard.
