Those Timid (Not!) Deer

This year the deer are everywhere and one family has taken up residence living under one of our decks. We often startle each other when we meet outside. Recently, when I started the deer, he jumped up onto the deck and seemed quite at home there. I had the impression that if I put my plant pots on the deck they might be safe from the deer but I guess not. A few days after this photo was taken, I saw one of the fawns walking down the stairs to the beach. Too bad I couldn't get the camera out before he jumped off.

It's always fun to see deer, especially the fawns, because it proves that life goes on for yet another season.

A super picture of the deer on your deck. I'd swear it was admiring yours and Kari's handiwork. They are beautiful and graceful creatures. Congratulations on your prize winning scrap book pictures, A Fall Fair is always more fun when you have entries, especially when you win $4 Bucks (parden the pun)

That is so cool! I'd rather have deer in my yard than bears and raccoons.

I think they are cute too and now almost all my deck plants are protected with netting.
