Tomorrow, I'm off to Edmonton, so today I've been busy with pre-trip arrangements. Husband picked out his clothes (some of which I removed because they were too worn) and I packed the suitcase. Thankfully, everything fit into one case, except for the toiletries which we can carry separately.

I had to clear out all the photos on my memory stick and of course charge up the camera and cell phone batteries. I usually don't remember to do this until there are too few hours left for charging.

Husband and I created a to do list this morning and I'm almost at the end. Just need to water the plants before we leave. Thankfully, our neighbour has offered to water while we are away.

I've also been freezing blueberries today. I bought 10 lbs from a farm in Richmond and although we have been eating lots during the past few days, it was time to freeze what was left (almost 24 cups). I love blueberries, especially in the winter in a warm bran muffin. Yum!

Speaking of food, we went to the island's new fish and chips restaurant for lunch today and were pleased to see that the menu included salads and other choices in addition to cod & chips or haddock & chips or halibut & chips or salmon & chips. The place was doing a good business but it will be interesting to see how it manages once the summer tourists leave the island.

While we are away, the dog will be staying with Grandma (my Mum), so he is looking forward to a week of pampering and extra treats. Of course, I'm sure that Mum will enjoying having his company for awhile as well.
