Its awesome to think that from this day forward, our children will grow up in a brand new world. A world where anything is possible. I never thought in my lifetime that I would see an African-American become president of the United States. Not because I did not believe in it, but because there are so many out there that don't.
I worry for his safety because of the Aryan Nation, and the fanatics that belong to that embarrassing part of our society. Like him, or hate him, do it because of his ideas and decisions, not because of the color of his skin. I would like to think that as a people, as a race, we would have outgrown such childish, Neanderthal behavior. But obviously we haven't.
I for one cannot remember a time in my life that I have felt more enthusiasm, more confidence, and more inspiration than I do with the Inauguration of President Obama.
And his call to duty reminiscent of President Kennedy's "Ask not what your country can do for you....." With
"Yes We Can"
Not a promise to do everything FOR us, but a call for us as a Nation, to pull together, and be a part of making this the best, most successful, and happiest country its ever been.
