last night i got the dreaded phone call. it was my sister. my nephew was being flown by helicopter to the hospital. his grandpa had come home and found him laying face down on the basement floor. he rolled him over and he had quit breathing. he called the ambulance right away and got him to the hosp. he had acohol poisoning. well they got him breathing and called a bigger hosp. about 40 miles away to send the copter. it did not look good for this 19 year old. he quit breathing twice after he got to the bigger hosp. and they put a tube in to keep him breathing. they pumped his stomach. he had a blood count of .8 legally drunk is .08. he was on all the life supports to keep him going. it did not look good for him. i called my mom this morning to see what was going on with him. his dad had just called them. he is doing good this morning. breathing on his own. they did another brain scan to see if it affected it. the doctors said everything looked good. he was a very lucky kid. god had to be looking over him and i thank him for that.

i know he is quite a drinker, but i hope this will wake him up.

about 12 years ago i was quite the drinker myself. i had a very bad scare one night to. nothing like my nephew. but i had my daughter in the car with me on the way home. and when i got home i could not remeber driving there. that was it i was done. i could have killed one or both of us, or someone else on the road. i quite cold turkey. i had nothing till about 2 years ago. lloyd and i and some friends were out camping and he bought some smirnoff that he didn't like. i decided i would try it. i got pretty tipsy that night. i drank a little after that till my wedding night. i had a few that night and got kinda tipsy that night to. i didn't drive but it scared me enough to think what i did 12 years ago and i quit again. now i can't say i will never drink again. but for now i am acohol free. now the cappichinos that a different story. i am hooked on them.
