Your trip description brings back great memories for me. I went up there several years ago-no camping for me. Hotels and B&Bs. Saw the big falls at Tacquamenon St. Park. Sioux Ste Marie. Edmund Fitzgerald. Lighthouses. Wildlife preserve. Mackinac and Mackinaw. Indiana Dunes. A boy drowned there last week. Where are you putting 6 bison? Are you fencing in your farm?
It sounds like Quackers is a guard goose. Do geese eat squirrels? Maybe the fox was protecting his kill from the goose.
