Today, News, and Memories

It is going to be a long day ahead of me. I have catering orders going out at work for 11am. So I have to be there at 9:30am and then my shift ends at 8pm this evening. So I don't expect myself being on the computer very long when I get home from work...if I even feel like going on this damn thing at all.
Does anyone remember Lynda Carter that played on that show called call Wonder Woman back in the 1970's? Well, aparently, she found a body on a river in Washington sometime Wednesday. Oddly enough, she didn't have a cell phone on her, so she had to flag down some fishermen to call the police. I guess she waited around until the authorities came and directed them to the body. So far, no one seems to know the cause of death of this woman who was only 47 years old. Sad.
You know, I remember watching that show. I even remember the theme song to it. There wasn't alot of shows to choose from back then when I was a kid. In fact, I looked forward to the Saturday morning cartoons with Tom and Jerry and Popeye. Or the movies. I for some reason remembering most of the movies being anything Elvis. lol! Let's see...there were television shows like Lassie, Charle's Angels, and so on. Television was so simple then. In our house, there wasn't cable...hell we didn't even have color telelvision.
I remember one year when I was pretty young, I got tired of black and white tv. and wan't us to have a color television in the house. So being the little stinker that I was, I tied a rope around the tv, and pulled it off it's stand. I remember going with my dad to the store to buy one and I told him that a color television only costed like $5 to $10 more. It backfired, my dad got the black and white tv. lol!
ahhh...those were the days...

I used to love to watch the Carol Burnett show, Love Boat and Fantasy Island on Saturday nights with my Grandma. My sister and I would usually go and stay with Grams on Saturdays (so my poor Mother could have a break from us girls, lol)
