I feel like an idiot.
H&R Block has this new service where you you can have you income tax money put on a card instead of getting a check. It's faster and you don't have to leave your house to get your money. It's called the "Emerald Card". It's just like a credit card and your income money can be used pretty much anywhere, plus you can take money out.
Well, the lady at the H&R office, had told me that my pin number will the last four digits of my social security number. So here I am thinking that the last four digits of my social security, is where it will tell me how much I have on my card. It does, but she did not tell me, nor did the prompts tell me that I in fact, had to go to the option zero to talk to someone to have it set up.
So here I am calling all these phone numbers to find out why I do not have money on my card yet. Every time that I had called to speak with someone from the phone number on the card, it told me that I needed to call back later because of high volume calls.
Finally I called that phone number again, and I finally got through. That is when I was informed that I needed to set it up. Now I finally have it set up and waiting for the card to be filled with my tax income money. What I didn't ask was, will the money be put into my account now, or will have to wait the 1-2 days after my card was set up (I got the rapid refund package). So I called back, and yet again, they had high volume calls and I need to call back later.
This is a bit irritating....
