Moving On. Sorry...

In the Last Few Days ...

Things that have happened in the last few days:
1. Theropy wants to put my dad into an independant/assistant living setting. I don't think they should. They say temporary, but exactly what is temporary to them?
2. Me worried and a bit depressed about #1 (see above).
3. When my fiancee went to take me to work the other day, and someone took the music CD's and some change out of our car sometime through the night.
4. I now have everyone's cold in this house.
5. My tooth is starting to hurt me again.
I know you are not supose to ask this, but "What else could go wrong?"

Maybe you should ask them what they mean by temporary, in regards to your dad. This must be a lot of stress on you. I hope it gets resolved soon and that you can get some rest and get rid of the cold you have. Take gentle care

I would want to know what "temporary" means too. and how "independent" is the place and how much help does he need. Sorry about your cold.

I understand your concern about your dad. We went thru the same thing with my mom. Usually they will try the temporary stay to see if the person likes it, and can adjust to it. IF they have a hard time taking care of themselves. With my mom she had so many health problems that staying by herself wasn't an option.

Be sure to talk to his primary care dr...ask questions.
Check out the place first.
Be sure his insurance will cover assisted living.

I know it's a lot to take in. No one ever wants their loved one to have to go into a nursing facility. I hope everything works out. *hugs*
