Has anyone noticed the trend today, that more and more people are getting tattoos? This seems especially true amongst younger women (18-25). Maybe because I am in Vegas, but every barmaid has one on the small of their back. Also went to South Bass Island (Put-In-Bay, Lake Erie) over Memorial Day Weekend 2006. Lived by to pool for 3 days straight (the poolside bar helped make that possible). Obviously, there was a lot of skin, and tattoos. I would guess that 80% of the people there had a tattoo...maybe more.

Would like to know from some of our users if you have a tattoo. Also, what it is, and where on your body it is located (this could be fun!).

OK, I'll start! I do have a tattoo on my arm that I got when I was 24-years old. It is of Tweety Bird (there is a story). Go ahead...Laugh! Get it out of your system! :)

UPDATE! OK...why Tweety? Back in the band days, somehow we all decided to get tattoos of cartoon characters. There were seven of us, including the roadies and the sound guy! Well, back then, there was no real cool cartoon characters like Spongebob, Timmy Turner, or Jimmy Neutron. So, what to do? One guy got Fred Flintstone, another Pluto. I think the roadies got Sylvester Jr. and TAZ. I remember seeing an episode of Tweety many years earlier that made me laugh. I also could relate to his (her?) toying sense of humor. So, I spent a few days drawing the perfect likeness, only to have the Tattoo "artist" spend two minutes tracing my design (oh well!). It came out alright I guess, no complaints. I also painted a similar version on my guitar that same week (see below). So, now you can visualize (or not!) what is going on over here. Maybe that is to much information!?
