OK, it has been a while since I have written anything that hasn't been a downer. Now that I am back from my Cleveland trip, I thought I would make a few posts. When I was younger, I was a long haired rocker. I used to write songs daily...not even sure how many of them I actually wrote. I was in a few bands, but mainly in a group called Lost Children. We used to play a lot of CSN, Allman Brothers, Santana, Etc...as well as our own stuff.
Although, live we used to jam while playing out...our original stuff tended to be lighter for some reason. There were mainly three off us that used to write all the music. Usually one of us came in with a few versus and the chorus of a song, and the others would add to the song. For simplicity, It did not matter who wrote the song, we just copyrighted them with all three of our names.
This first song was a song I wrote when I was around 18 years old (although recorded many years later). If any of you were like me, in your teen years, you spent a lot of time hanging out in either your friends room, or your own. This song was about those years...good times, good times. :) I write with a lot of innuendo btw.

Stoned on the Rocks
Do you sit all alone
In the corner of your room
Are you smiling now you may not feel the same
Look at me now
Safe from all the pain
Trying to find some rhythm from the rain
Tommy's gone
He took a girl
He'll take her halfway round the world
With it she will show me how she came
It's just a game
Already gone
Writing all these words here from this box
Stoned on the rocks
There are those to take their walks
while others lie in bed
some who haven't heard a word we've said
One by one
It happens every day
Were trying to find another way to play
It's OK, I've got a girl
I'll take her halfway round the world
With it she will show me how she came
I like the game
Already gone

Stoned on the rocks
