As a Dodger fan, most traumatic day of my young life...Bobby Thompson's "Shot Heard 'Round the World"... and the announcer's call: "The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! They went on to win the Series and poor Ralph Branca, who served up that pitch, still lives in infamy in Brooklyn.
