You have done really well in your research! It is so fasciniating! When doing mine, I end up getting interested in someone else's and before I know it a few hours have gone by!
A fabulous song! I've always loved the Gregorian chanting in it - so hypnotic especially when teamed up with the girls sultry voice, superb
I am totally useless at writing poetry! My mum was pretty good at it - Lynnette is able to rhyme a little too - it's harder than actually writing a story/essay I think
I agree, they look a little un-nerving
Blinking heck . . . I never thought about those! Great post, makes one really think
Ms. A. J. must be trying to beat 'Lynnie's' record! Great post
That is one book, I have never read - always (as now) wanted to, but never got around to it. I know the jist, of the storyline, of course, but I'd love to see this movie - love this type!
The 'getting to the end of the week' always drags by, but Friday and the weekend beckon . . .
I've just been over there, it's very interesting too. I'm going to bookmark it for future reference
I didn't know that once upon a time, we had attorneys over here - I love learning something new! I had a surprise the other evening, actually, I had been watching a documentary about Global Warming, when the narrator mentioned that the River Thames would freeze over, quite regularly during the 18th century! - I thought it was quite unique when it had frozen in the winter of 1962!! Great post
Happy mothers day, Angie
Happy mothers day Joan
What you are going through is I believe part of the natural 'grieving and, ultimately the 'healing' process. My mother died back in '81, it takes a long, time to 'get over', but, you will. You obviously will never 'forget' her (even if you couldn't get 'on' with her) because she was, a 'part' of your memory. The anniversary of her passing away, will be part of 'you' too . . try to look on it as a celebration of what she was, to you. I know, your mother would defineitly, not want you to 'hurt'. Always think of the laughs, the two of you enjoyed together, rather than remembering and feeling sad. When I think of my own mother & father, I talk to them - as if they are here in the room ~ I think they are, here to be honest and, that's great! If, I can manage to get through the 'technology' of visiting my loved ones when I am gone, I will be returning - I have already told all of them this and they are ready for my return! Please Sunlight, your mum wont want you to be unhappy, so smile and tell her something comical, that has happened to you lately ~ just as you would if you could see her, I do
Thats a superb one Larry . I have got a couple of favourite poems. They are by Georgina Christina Rosetti (think, that's how you spell her name)! One is called 'Remember' & the other, 'Song'. Perhaps you have come across them before, they do have lovely sentiments. My husband is an H.G.V class 1 driver too! He isn't working at the moment as he is looking after me (I know he misses the 'road' though . . . especially when I start to 'nag' - [which I do very little . . . . . ])
Sophie looks so content laying there It is wonderful of you to have let her come to live with you
