This is one of the first musicals I watched as a youngster. It was about the time that P.J. Proby (spelling)? Was number one in the UK with 'Maria'. My mother told me to watch the musical when it was shown on the tv. Thououghly, enjoyed watching it. The other one which springs to mind, is Carousel - loved that one
Have a great time Martin
I think the Yellow Aspens is just beautiful, well done Jon
It is a terrifying aspect. I wonder if we have left it too late to be able to stop - or at least slow down, the effect.
Is it a long drive tomorrow? Take a couple of flasks of coffee in case you get stuck in the weather - and a blanket or two (just in case). Wonderful photographs fredo It will nice to see your family, but as you said, it is a sad occasion. I will be thinking of you,
Evening Martha
Oh, I have seen that series - I loved it! It gets repeated every so often on the documentary channel. They are a fascinating family. I can't remember ever seeing a cat - I would imagine they do, have one - I read or heard somewhere or other that in London, you are never more than 10 feet away from a Rat With Buck House so near to the Thames, it seems logical that there have to be some 'lurking' - same to with Windsor, it is more or less on the banks of it.
Lovely post Joan You have surprised me though, I didn't realize you started beforeTracy (and me too) on Blogster - gosh, I will have to try and work out how long I have been blogging
Happy birthday Tracy xxxxxx
Luv Ya
Happy anniversary Marg
Congratulations on your Coral Anniversary both of you. Wishing you many many more to come
You looked beautiful Marg
Fortunately, there are plenty of shirts hanging in his wardrobe (he prefers sweaters) Do you know, your post could be written by someone living over here - ! You seem to be going through exactly the same problems as us. Post Offices are closing left right and centre. At least I, don't have to travel as far as you - lonnng way!
I am deeply sorry for the loss of your sister-in-law
It is a good job you kept calm, when you saw those flames coming out of the light bulb! I use the 'energy saving' light bulbs, but they don't look exactly, the same. Mine are elongated oval tubes, I think they are a 'Philips' make - I will be checking, all the same! Thank you for telling us Fredo
I adore waking but nowadays I don't do quite, so much. Having said that though, merely walking up and downstairs is beneficial compared to sitting down all day. Activity, in all it's guises is important. Using your brain, also stems the deterioration of it's cells - crosswords, puzzles, board games etc. are perfect for keeping them 'alive'.
- Excellent Joan,it is the last part about the Swan and the pedal boat which touched me Wonderful
Quincy looks settled and happy - it may take a bit of time, but Dobbie and him will become friends
Have a great time Martin
