Okay majority party, lets get some balls and bring for a vote before the full Senate a public health insurance option under budget reconciliation rules that the vast majority of Americans support and get it passed.

EXCERPT:
On the issue that has been perhaps the most pronounced flash point in the national debate, 57 percent of all Americans now favor a public insurance option, while 40 percent oppose it. Support has risen since mid-August, when a bare majority, 52 percent, said they favored it. (In a June Post-ABC poll, support was 62 percent.)
If a public plan were run by the states and available only to those who lack affordable private options, support for it jumps to 76 percent. Under those circumstances, even a majority of Republicans, 56 percent, would be in favor of it, about double their level of support without such a limitation.

The survey of 2,999 households by Thomson Reuters Corp shows a public skeptical about the cost, quality and accessibility of medical care.
Just under 60 percent of those surveyed said they would like a public option as part of any final healthcare reform legislation, which Republicans and a few Democrats oppose.
Here are some of the results of the telephone survey of 2,999 households called from November 9-17 as part of the Thomson Reuters PULSE Healthcare Survey:

The Raw Story
EXCERPT
WASHINGTON -- One day after the Senate jettisoned the public insurance option from its health care legislation, a new CBS poll finds that 59 percent of the populace supports the inclusion of such a provision, which would compete in the marketplace with private insurers.
Only 29 percent opposed it, signaling an unusually high 30-point favorable rating. The numbers remain materially unchanged from last month, when CBS found that 61 percent supported it while 28 percent held a negative view of it.

Poll: Majority Of Doctors Support Public Option
Medical News Today
EXCERPT
A new nationwide poll found that a large majority of doctors support a public option.
"Most doctors - 63 percent - say they favor giving patients a choice that would include both public and private insurance," NPR reports. "In addition, another 10 percent of doctors say they favor a public option only; they'd like to see a single-payer health care system. Together, the two groups add up to 73 percent." The researchers found strong support among all types of doctors: primary care providers, specialists, both urban and rural doctors and among members of the American Medical Association, which has opposed the public option. The survey was published by the New England Journal of Medicine.
