Cyndi Lauper "At Last"

We have a new president, "at last"!Can I scream my liberal views any louder. Obama's dance song was Etta James' "At Last". On the first few notes, I knew the song. Wonder if they knew Cyndi's version of the song? I know both/ many versions of it. Seems Cyndi Lauper successfuly managed to prevent U-tube from "embedding" her video... so click on the link. Funny story, sorta, got to work...put the TV on CNN to sporadically watch the inauguration of Obama. Day shift RN asked , "So that's your guy?"...Hmm, thought that was obvious? In return, asked her, "So, either u voted McCain...Or U didn't vote at all". Her response, "I didn't vote". Not voting, that irritated me to no end. Unsuccessfully held my tongue. Went on a short political ramble! Just how often can i get myself in trouble for my liberal views, and you not know that basic fact? Thought every one at wrk already knew just how Liberal I am. Well, she was ex-military; and frankly, was OFFENDED, that ANYONE would possibly think I was Christian Conservative Republican! OK, now the fight was on! Told her point blank, that's offensive, and more to the point, "what in the HELL made you think that?" Said my thoughts, then retreated - Oh damn, not again, can't afford to get in trouble at wrk again! Well, she took it stride, and we got to the business of monitoring our confused unit. Hmmm, we get along so well, consult each other about the confusion on the unit, she (as the RN unit manager)always trying to rule confusion related to a "medical problem", I on the other hand (just an LPN) offset the argument with "it's consistent with the progression of dementia". We balance each other. That's why I found it just SO strange...all I ever did was fight to "let a nut be a nut" - join the party; in doing so how could my controversial interactions EVER be construed as "Christian Conservative"? Am at a total loss of words here. All I can say is, at last the republicans are gone from the presidency.
