Well, I finally had to pay the piper as the old F-150 needed some new tires and, God bless her, she has been a good old girl. So, off to the Ford Dealer and to my "surprise" the tires were still good, but, not to my liking, so I had new ones put on with a front end alignment to boot. She runs good now and is smooth on the long runs on the interstates.
Well, that got me to thinking about taking care of my old bones and eyesight. So, after much thought, I made the eyeglass appointment and was so disgusted with the present glasses, gave them to the Doc to put my new lenses in. Bi-focals on regular as well as the sunglasses.
Then, off to the dentist and for another diagnosis which is a bridge for the old teeth that has a gap on the uppers. So, this was also a pleasant experience and left the wallet not too heavy.
Last month had the everloving colonoscopy and all is well there. Gees, what next, said I. Thats when it occured to me about the old truck and old men. A set of new wheels has the 150 looking good and handling good. A set of new glasses and a new tootth as well as a good cleaning out, and I feel like a new man, much like the old truck.
So, if you all want to feel a little better about the state of the economy and the world, get your old beauty a set of new wheels and while at it, get your old body a set of new glasses , a new tooth or two, and have one heck of a cleansing and the world will seem a little better place to raise your family and yourself.
