I was hoping for a better format to racing this year, and after all the hype, it is still too damned long of a sport for spectators to sit through. No drama and action until there is about 20 or so laps left.
Never mind the pot holes. The "Great American RAce" isnot this sport. Racing has lost its luster. I believe that the sport is in a free fall and will not come back,. much like boxing did the the 60's.
We will be headed to Bristol in March and look forward to seeing old friends and shooting the bull over a well prepared meal and some lively music and spirits. Hopefully the race will be one that holds your attention.
If any of you all know of a Nascar official, e-mail them and let them know that unless some drastic changes are installed, their sport is dead. Lets start with points for laps led, in 50 lap increments. Possibly, this will make the drivers race during the first 3/4's of the event.
