I do believe that the American League will see a change in direction this year as the Ne Yawk Yankees will fall from grace due to their exorbinate ticket prices and that they will be hard pressed to put in 50% capacity. That being said, there will be no one there to cheer on that big, out of shape lefty, via Cleveland and Milwaukee, who needs to be pumped up inorder to be successful.. The AJ will develop shoulder problems and the catcher will disco vder that he no longer can throw. A Rod will consider coming back in late Sept as he will be a slow healer with no one in the stands urging him on to excell in games that co not mean anything.. Petit is done and the Captain can not cover the ground that will be necessary for a SS. The center fielder must be no one else bu Damon, who can not throw out my great Aunt Tillie stretching a single into a double. The closer, the great Mariano, will fade out by the All=Star game with Tendonitis.
That leaves the Red Sox and the RAys to duke it out. I do like the Red Sox, being originally from New England.. However, I like the Rays better being in Fla for the past 39 years. They are steady with their pitching and they have 4=5 good bats. The Sox are comparible,but the Rays will prevail. S0, Tampa is the AL Champ. Forget about the Central and lthe West. All are primadonnas.
The National League is a mystery. I like the Cubs, Dodgers, Mets, and the Phillies. However, the long shot is the Giants. They are an interesting bunch and will possibly present teams headaches with their pitching. The Marlins are a sentimental favorite. However, after much soul searching, I like the Braves to come out of nowhere to win the NL title with stonger than average seasons from the pitching staff and Chipper having a Yaz year with a little help from Mc Cain and the old professor, Bobby Cox. who will add to his infamous title of being asked to exit the ballpark one more time for all of prosperity.
The 2009 World Champions will be Japan. The 2009 World Series Champ will be ..........!
