I wouldn't.call myself greedy or insatiable or obsessive; though others have thought that about me......its just that I love things so passionately, completely, with such gusto, that I may actually seem off balance. For instance, my Passion for color, texture, fiber......I have a roomful of fabric, beautiful beyond imagining, lovingly chosen for its impact on the eye, but also for the imaginings it stirs. To commit to memory, it is washed,.ironed, folded, and put into a.clear plastic bin along with it's perfect companion fabric pieces, pulled from my stash, to live in perpetuity in a quilt. Someday. When I have the time, inspiration, and the room, it will all come together, just like magic. I love my fabric!
I also, equally love my yarn, my knitting needles, my knitting books, patterns, and paraphenalia....they spill over my life and home with abandon....these days people identify me with my knitting, Did I mention that I make all my own jewelry?? Of course my leading stuff has its own chest of drawers; but it prefers one of my two kitchen tables, from the last flare of artistic inspiration;(and in case it should overwhelm me again before its consigned back to the white dresser in the garage. I love music, and consider myself a musician. Flute, piano, and voice. I love my sweet, tolerant husband, Charlie. I love my grown kids, 13 DGGS, 9 greats....my pets, my yard........my life, in A Nutshell. For all of these blessings & talents I thank my Heavenly Father.
