Today is June 8, 2012. My newest great-granddaughter, Emmalee Grace, is scheduled to arrive in Houston by C-Section. When I spoke to my grandson last night, he promised he'd call me...
....but it's now 4 p.m. and if I had any fingernails to bite, they'd be bitten to the quick! I loved having babies; loved being pregnant, loved giving birth [yes, really!! But all my babies were on the smallish side - 4#-7 oz; 5#-15 oz; and my whopper - 6# 10 oz.] I can assure you that though they were not all that big, they certainly required the usual amount of grunting, pushing and felt like watermelons cross-wise. But the minute I saw their sweet little faces, it was all forgotten. I've been blessed to have been in the delivery room for five of my grandchildrens' births, and one of the great-granddaughters. When the Lord said "Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth", I didn't realize he meant me! I wish I were in Houston right this minute; but keep us in your prayers and I promise to let you know as soon as the details are known. Thanks for being my friends...I will celebrate by KIP Knitting In Public tomorrow. Love, Sandie
