Now that we're in December, hopefully our first measurable snow here in New York City will be coming soon. I'm anxious to add to my snowflake collection I started last year. I have over 200 specimens I have collected that I keep in petri dishes. They have been collected from snow flurries, snow storms, and blizzards, albeit the latter two were kind of bereft from the city and Long Island last year. But still, I was able to obtain a lot of snowflake samples. I have them carefully arranged by date. The petri dishes all look pretty much the same now but that does not deter me from adding to my collection. Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow.
