Walmart - Yea or Ney?

I've heard people at work, more than I would have liked to, mention
in passing that they purchased this or that at Wal-Mart. Every time I
hear it, I cringe inside. Wal-Mart has put such a disgusting taste in
my mouth that no amount of toothpaste or mouthwash can eliminate it.
I've
been saddened every time I hear of Wal-Mart pushing its way into a new
little town with the "great" news that they will be building a
supercenter there. The regular "little" people of the town try to cry
and let their voices be heard that they don't want this GIANT coming
there. Why? Because as Wal-Mart shoves its way into town, all the small
"mom and pop" businesses there know they can't compete with this huge
corporation that just by their size can sell anything and everything
for less than the small businesses....who begin to count the days
before they find themselves losing their life dream of being a business
owner.
Did you know that Wal-Mart is the largest music retailer
in the country. They decide the morality of what they will sell, often
tying the hands of the musicians if they want their music to be
purchased.
Wal-Mart has a history of the horrible treatment of
their employees, from sex discrimination, to lack of benefits, to pay
below the poverty level.
I won't go on and on because all you
need to do is type "I hate Walmart" or "Walmart discrimination" into
your browser and you will find an unending list of websites by the
little people of this country. I was amazed at the unending list.

This
website lists article after article of lawsuits and discrimination that
has been an ongoing part of this companies day-to-day activities. But
it's hard for the little people to win against this HUGE monopoly with
very well-paid lawyers  to try and keep their name clean.
So I am
proud, and one of the few, who can proudly state that I have never set
a foot in a Walmart store in all of my 50+ years. To me, it's a matter
of principle. I don't care how low prices are or what a good deal you
can get there, but I won't give in when I see all the lives they have
ruined over the years and still going strong.I wish everyone would
boycott this company and put them out of business!!
