Hello All - I've been searching for a blog where I might fit in, and someone mentioned this one to me. So I thought I'd pop in and see what goes on here.
I am a North Carolian born and bred. I love this state because we have beaches at one end and mountains at the other, with me in the middle. The weather is ever changing so you never get bored and while we have all four of the beautiful seasons here, none are too intense.
I enjoy a number of sports including college basketball (Go TARHEELS!) and hockey (love my Hurricanes although it hasn't been our greatest season). I was hoping to retire within a few years, but with the economy as it is, I'm happy to have a job and may just work until I drop!
I lean to the left politically, but haven't fallen over yet ;-)  but look for all kinds of opinions on all subject because we never learn if we only listen to those who mirror ourselves. So I'm going to look around a little and see what I see and hope to be blogging with some of you soon.
