Today was another nice lazy day for the most part. My work check has been sitting at work since Monday (the day we get paid) and finally today, I decided to go pick it up. I wasn't feeling the best on Monday...you know, women things. Then on Tuesday, I had to do laundry...and a lot of it. Since we don't have the convenience of a washer and dryer here (and Craig being at work), I had to lug 3 bags in a taxi to the laundry mat and then back home. So, basically, I wasn't going anywhere after that.
So today, my friend calls me and we are talking. I tell her I have to go and pick up my check. She says that her husband left her the car and offers to drive me up there. We stop and do that. I cash my check at Wal-Mart and roam around the store a bit.  We got into the children's isle because her daughter is not feeling good and so she wanted to get her something special.
While we were over there, I picked up some flash cards for my son on addition, subtraction, and single words. Even though he is 9 years old, he is a bit behind with his disorder, so I figured maybe flash cards might help him a bit. When I got home, I did the norm...dishes and straightening up.
I found out this evening, that with the flash cards...after about 15 minutes, he starts to get a bit frustrated. So here is my plan. I work with him at least an hour a day for 15 minutes at a time. After 15 minutes, I let him play or whatever to get his mind together, and try it again with him later. This way, he doesn't completely shut down and not want to do it all.
