My friend called me about 10 minutes after I walked in the door from work and left a message saying that it was extremely important. So I called her and realized that she was at her mom and step dad's house.
I called over there, and her step dad told me that my friend's mother passed away today. I was in shock! She had to of been anywhere from like 49-51 years old. We were all friends and one passes on....
Anyways, we quickly got a babysitter and went down there. By the time we got there, there was already at least 8 other family members and friends outside.
We stuck around for a bit. After a bit, my friend asked me if  we could dogsit. We said yes to that so we are dogsitting my friend's mom's dog. That dog was her mom's sidekick. The dog would of  freaked out if he saw his "mother" being carried out (yes, we were all outside at the time when my friend's mother was still in the house).
This is Harpo...he is like a 10 pound dog and and about 10 pounds lighter than our dog.

On top of all that, I agreed to watch my firend's little daughter for awhile tomorrow because her and her husband have to help with her step dad as well.
I told my friend that if she needs to talk or anything this eveing or whenever, just give me a call or stop over since I have the next three days off. I understand where she is coming from since my mother passed in 2006.
Dawne was an awesome woman...she will be missed by many....
