Most everyone knows that reads my blogs, heard about when my father had pnemonia, was in the hospital, then went a rehab place to help get well. You also know that theropy at the rehab place, wasn't sure that he was ready to live on his own and suggested he try non-independant living arrangements.
My father wasn't for it, and neither was I. One of my father's concerns (and mine) was that he wouldn't have control over his own money. The other concern for me, was that since my father is "legally blind" (he can see, just not so good and so he is in that category) and if he had to live with someone else (he has been living by himself since I was 8 years old), the thought of someone stealing from him or re-arranging something in his room, just doesn't set well with me.
Anyways, I got a call from his social worker today and she told me that theropy thinks that he is making good progress now, and he might be able to go back to his apartment soon and live indepentantly like he always has! This is awesome news! His theropy ends on June 12th, but he can stay there up until June 19th if he wants to, but knowing my dad, he will want to get the hell out of there! lol!
Just wanted to share my good news :)
