Just what is it, that makes me such a target? Did I expect too much, to demand quality elder care? Elder care I do love; the silly banter, the song and dance, met the elders on thier lost ground. In thier eyes, I understood; in my eyes they understood - the frailty of trust and loving compassion. My compassion takes it toll on me; once I thought, I could show the others the way to compassionate caring, a way to understand the confusion. Am just so battle weary now. Again I go to court,to defend myself, guilty till I can pay to prove my innocence. Thought it was my job to demand a certain level of "quality care"; to voice the needs of those who cannot make thier needs known. A legal catch - 22; how dare I demand that care-givers actually give the cares they're paid to do? For my demands, am back in court again. Reputation now tarnished, doubts about me now arise. Boxed into a corner now. Say nothing, do nothing, yet am "responsible" for all that occurs when I'm there. Damned if I do, Damned if I don't. No one meets me on the other side.I know it would be outrageous, To come on all courageous, And offer you my hand.
