How well I know, I have been collecting my friends towards my old(er) age. But alas, this past year so many of them ran away from me. To the new furnace and AC man, the new roof co., the new awnings, and the new gutters and gutter guard system. How quickly these old friends leave?????

My favorites are the ones (much older than me) who drive on the interstate -- left lane (passing lane)-- 35-45 MPH with a 60-70 speed limit, and for miles and miles have their left turn signal on - next to the median divider barrier.

Personally, I enjoy debating and arguing (blogging about) the issues of politics and/or religion.

My financial advisers somewhat agree with JONJUDE, the Dow will be back up to 12K-13K-14K in 2010-2011, that will be the time to sell. 2012-2013, once the Obama policies are in full force and affecting everything, the markets will be back down to rock bottom again!!!!!

Our justice system - jurisprudence as it is - is near perfect - except for the intrusion and infusions of human beings!!!!
I myself became so disillusioned over the years, when so many of the local and state police, lawyers, and judges, were more crooked and dishonest than the perps I was bringing in.

Also agree with Fredo, I deal with too many parents today who want to give their children all of the "THINGS" which they did not have - give them everything except their time and attention!!??!!

Correct on that - Detroit does not care about the American people, or else they would have been manufacturing the type and kinds of cars that most people want to buy, then they would not be in this mess. Union leader thugs only want more members paying more dues so that they have more money to payoff and bribe politicians at all levels to get themselves even richer usually at the expense of the union members they are supposed to be protecting.

Many years ago, when I was young, I remember that JFK sided with the Eastern Republican intelligensia in matters of civil rights and equal rights for all - an issue 100% opposed by all democrats in both houses of congress at the time since before the Civil War - an issue commandeered and taken over by the democrats since then. The first GOP rebuke of intelligent and educated voters was Nixon's VP, the (in)famous Spiro T. Agnew. Have they gotten any better??
Comment on Ship of Fools - Nov 18, 2008 2:36 PM ()
Reminds me of the idiocy of a few years ago about the republican plans for the school lunch program which would have doubled revenues going into. TV and radio ads about starving our children, just because Wash DC would no longer have control of the money. And how about the mega-lie campaign of starving grandma - our of poisoning the water and the sky ??? Both sides are equally just as warped and rediculous!!!!

I agree with you for the most part, but Barack has not needed to, and probably at this stage, never will figure out or know WHO HE IS. Too many years ago his rising star was captured by the political powers that be, and alas, today he is but a poor puppet of the many who pull his strings.
