My son never got an allowance because he refused to do chores. When he turned 16 I told him that he would have to buy his own car because he wouldn't be driving mine. He got a job then!

I have just one child (a son, now 21). For me, one was all I could handle. It must be pretty taxing dealing with multiple young kids. When you get older, you realize that it's okay to let more things slide to preserve peace.
