Steve! I am shocked. Surely you are opening yourself to litigation? such a sexist rave is unbecoming and probably illegal.... quick, find yourself a good lawyer... don't you know the truth is no defence? We had one of these who delighted in snapping at vulnerable young people in the staff room. one day a new fellow looked her straight in the eye and said loudly and with more than a hint of warning; "I don't like your tone of voice." She looked around, received no support, apologised, and was never the same again.Just not bitchy enough, I guess.

I am still at a loss to know what is the "gay community". It's a bit like saying the Baseball fan community...
I hope all goes according to plan. The trouble with recessions is people become less tolerant and more aggressive towards minority groups, and as we seem to be heading towards armageddon... I don't hold out much hope of a tolerant and loving future for any of the minorities.

I just hope the interior designer isn't a stereotypical screaming nancy.

I didn't think the USA allowed full frontals in public cinemas! what is happening to your puritanical land? is it because your dollar is now worth only half what it was a year ago? I only like nudity if the man is slim, and healthy. Love handles should be kept under wraps.Good writing.

How very perspicacious of the juror... is this real? makes a good story whatever the case.

Two reasons... 1. socialising is more difficult for LGBT people, so the internet provides a safe way to 'meet' people. and, 2. many studies have shown that gays are more verbal than hets, tend to be more creative and imaginative and therefore find writing blogs and suchlike easier, and because of 1. above have more time in which to do it.

I guess it's simply an extension of the pleasure/pain reaction by which we learn. Unless mentally retarded or brainwashed by religion, most humans have a good grasp of justice and will accept a fair verdict. What is of most importance is that we learn better with pleasurable responses than through pain. Parents who praise their children for being good, have better behaved offspring than those who punish them for being bad... that actually appears to be counterproductive and creates bad people with a reduced sense of justice and perhaps I have written enough...
I don't eat chocolate, nor do I gamble, so I compensate with an engorged sense of fair play.

I received this from a Greek friend and thought my USA acquaintances might like to know how others view the performance of the most powerful man on earth.

Come on, Fredo... you know big boys don't cry but you can cry on mu shoulder as long as you put a towel on it first. Are you sure you'd like me to intrude on your last day? I'm a very irritating prick, but I'll come on over if you pay the fare... My favourite two lines are: ... "and they never see each other," and ..."... keep your hand over my mouth."

Tourism... a very mixed blessing; it brings money but destroys what made it worth visiting in the first place. and if petrol and energy and food prices keep rising, tourism is not a safe horse to back. already swanky tourist destinations are beginning to lose money.

Yes, Hillary is certainly getting into self-destruct mode... the trouble is she's destroying the Democrat party too. Obama is such a sleek guy... great sex appeal - bet he kisses nicely.

Finally, though, we all have to sort out our own lives... personally, I'm glad the world was simpler and less 'open' when I was growing up. I felt free to be exactly what I wanted. The pressures to conform to certain behaviour patterns today are extreme -- for all young people, not only the same-sex-oriented. It's not surprising so many crack up and take wrong turnings.

Nice mustache... We'll be celebrating our fiftieth in 8 years... hope you'll write a piece for us then. Really nice photos -- it all looks as if it was somehow easier and more pleasant back then... silly idea but nostalgia grips me from time to time.

If the government was made up of those who read your posts, Fredo, things would change for the better. Unfortunately, nice people don't get into politics. I'll stop eating and breathing on Earth Day... will that help?

Now tell me, Marge, why can't a boy have a blanket of blue bricks separated by pink mortar? It is very beautifully knitted. Don't you think it is a pity to treat girls and boys differently, reinforcing the notion that there's only one way to become a boy/man, and one way for girls? It;s what leads to persecution in all schools - you're different to we will torment you. Or am I as usual, taking things too seriously? The border too is spectacular... is it done while you knot or added later?
