There is no doubt that Sarah Hendrickson is anything but your average teen girl. At the age of 17, this Park City teen has taken the ski title at the World Cup this year. Of the 12 events that she participated in, Sarah has won eight of them.

Perhaps the reason for her success can be found in the focus and overall drive that Hendrickson. In fact, most people are stunned by the overall dominance that Sarah has in these events. While this led to the world cup title and her accomplishments speak for themselves.

From jumping 98 meters, to a follow up of 94.5 meters, her ability certainly speaks for itself. But while most girls her age would allow the sudden burst of notoriety to change them, Sarah remains more focused on going back home and getting back to her normal life. Outside of a competition that will only give her a short period of fame, she embraced the moment and is heading back to school to continue her education.

No matter where she goes from here, Sarah will remain the first woman to win the International Ski Federation World Cup and that is something that certainly cements her place in history. Although it is very unlikely that this is the last of what Sarah brings to the world of competitive skiing.
