Bible Study: Salvation

Salvation 12.30.08

Hello My Friend/Guest,

Today we are continuing our studies on the book of Revelation, please read Chapters 19-20 in your Bible or you can Click Here to read them online. If the link does not work you can copy and paste this one into your browser: biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation%2019-20&version=9

Today we are reading about the marriage supper of the Lamb; the rider on the white horse; Satan bound and doomed; and the great white throne judgment. Today's message focuses on the importance of knowing your Salvation. If you were to die today do you know for sure that you are going to heaven?

The first part of chapter nineteen is devoted to the the Lamb, His Bride, and a great multitude of people worshipping God. "And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:.........And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready." (Revelation 19:1,3-7). The word Alleluia is a Hebrew word made up from two words, Hallel, meaning Praise and Jah, meaning The Lord.

Recognizing the Lord in our daily circumstances will soon cause our whole life to take on a new dimension. We will experience a satisfaction which the worldly minded cannot comprehend. Saying "Praise the Lord!" is an acknowledgement that we are really satisfied with His arrangements.

The final destination of Satan and all who reject Christ as Savior and Lord is one of great significance. All who knowingly reject Jesus and deceive the lost will be cast alive into a lake of fire. "And the beast (the Antichrist) was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.............And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (20:10,20).

As long as we are on this earth we can make the decision to accept Jesus, but once we leave there is no turning back. Sadly, those who do not know Jesus will be cast into the fire as well. "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (20:14-15).

Yes, it is a scary thought, but Praise the Lord that all who are saved are in the book of life and as long as we are on this earth we can warn and teach others the importnace of accepting Jesus into their lives. How joyful it will be for those who do repent and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives to see again their loved ones and all the saints that we have read about in the Bible. No one has to be cast into the fire, we all have a chance to be written in the bookof life. We can join with the saints of all the ages and say, Alleluia!" We are saved!

Today's Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that You came to this earth and died on the cross as a substitute for me and my sin. I place my faith in You and what You have done for me. I receive You into my life and choose this day to follow and serve You. In Your mighty name, Jesus........Amen.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
God Bless and Happy New Year!
Blessings,
Christina
