In Just One Year

Lest You Forget!!!              In just one year.......
A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 and a half year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.
Since voting in a Democratic Congress we've seen:
1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to well over $3 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is over 5%;
4) American households have seen $2.3 TRILLION in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 TRILLION;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
America voted for change in 2006, and we sure got change!
In 2008 the Democrats are still promising change.
Can America, and Americans, afford this change???

As stated above, economic disasters take a long time developing. Case in point, the 1992-1993 super-tax increases took until 1999-2000 for full disaster effect, to almost ruin the stock market and the U.S. economy.Today's gourmet meal is tomorrow's excrement.!!!!!!

This was not a instantaneous change, but a downward spiral that has been occurring throughout this presidency. The gas prices have risen constantly since the occupation in the middle east, and will do so until we have someone other than oil company puppets in the white house, they are gouging while they can, because they know the party is over soon. The housing market has been also trending this way for several years, the dollar is declining in value due to our accumulated debt these republicans built while cutting taxes for the upper class (during a time of war) and privatizing government functions which has costed the government more instead of saving money. Most attempts by the Democrats to do things they either promised or to fix some of this damage ends up filibustered (Republicans hit the 2 year record for filibusters in under one year since the dems took office) or Vetoed. The real question should be, Can we Afford to keep THESE republicans (not all are crooks, just all these) in power....
