Great Books

Hi everyone,
I haven't been on in nearly a year, as work has taken over everything. I am back looking at my favourite past-time, especially with reading Kate Jacob's "The Friday Night Knitting Club". I have just started the sequel "Knit Two" and am loving it as much as I loved the first one. Even if you don't knit, the story is compelling with rich characters that I found fun to get to know.
I have been so inspired, that I have just put up a Facebook request on my town's F/B asking if anyone wants to start a 'Fiber Art Club' with me. I might even get back to my spinning and weaving! Wouldn't that be fine?

Oh, I am so glad you are going to try to find the books. I hope you like them. My Grandmother (the same one that taught me to knit) also made rag rugs. She was a very talented lady. She could crochet anything, and sew anything. I still have several of the items she made. I love them.

We're going to the library tomorrow, I'll look for that book. It's hard to find a good author these days. Sounds like a fun club. When I was a kid, a lady in my town had a large loom and made some nice rag rugs for my mother - the warp was a kind of string, and the weft was strips of cloth. I think I still have one of them somewhere, it's at least 50 years old and still in reasonably good shape.
