Princess Madeleine is the younger, flashier sister of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. She fled to New York in April, 2009, after breaking her engagement to Attorney Jonas Bergstrom.

The 27-year-old had been with Bergstrom since she was 19; but returned his engagement ring after a story broke in the tabloids that he had engaged in a one-night stand with a girl he had met in a bar while on a ski weekend when Madeleine was in London.

Since moving to the United States, Madeleine has divided her time between working for her mother's worldwide childhood foundation and beginning a new relationship with a millionaire investment banker from one of New York's society families.
