Well, here I am. I was going to write about all the trips I took, but I was too busy. I just got back from Houston,Texas, late this summer. The trips we have been going on lately have not been for vacations. They were particular trips that were needed to help some people. I still have memories of them to write about, though. The last trip must have been timed just right so that a tropical storm that was hitting the coast from the South followed us North to Wisconsin. My husband said that the best route to take was through Louisiana. I was driving my daughter's car; and Art was driving our old van that was pulling a trailer. I was to stay behind him, and follow. I remember some high winds, & seeing the trailer going from side to side in the lane ahead. Then there was an accident right ahead of us. A large truck was rolled over on it's side; and there was a lot of stuff in the road. There were a lot of cars switching lanes; and a lot of confusion, & near misses. I was glad when we got through that. Right after that, I saw out my left window, the largest "dirt devil" I've ever seen. I think we got out of it's path just in time! This has been a memory of one of our trips. I guess we have been going on these kinds of trips lately mostly because we are retired; and everybody else was busy.
