Feel Good, Get Smarter, and Help Feed People :D

So I don't usually do this but I found this site a couple years ago, www.freerice.com. You answer questions out of different categories you can choose. My personal favorites are French and English Vocabulary :P Every time you get an answer right they donate 10 grains of rice to people around the world. That may not seem like a lot, but you have to understand that there are people all over the world playing at the same time as you.
I think from what I calculated on their site it takes around 192,000 grains of rice to feed one person. Since they first started on October 7th, 2007 they have raised 64,189,937,370 grains of rice. That's enough to feed a little over 334,322 people worldwide. Some examples of places the rice is going includes:
* In Bangladesh, to feed 27,000 refugees from Myanmar for two weeks.

* In Cambodia, to provide take-home rations of four kilograms of rice for two months to 13,500 pregnant and nursing women.

* In Uganda, to feed 66,000 school children for a week.

* In Nepal, to feed over 108,000 Bhutanese refugees for three days.

* In Bhutan, to feed 41,000 children for 8 days.

* In Myanmar, to feed 750,000 cyclone affected people for 3 days.

It's a really great cause and maybe I'm a big dork but I enjoy the trivia part as well :P So if you have even a few extra minutes in your day maybe you can find time to answer a few of the questions. The categories are four different languages, two different math sections, English grammar and vocabulary, two different Chemistry categories, and famous paintings, so there really is something for everyone.

~Enjoy! :)
