Today's Chapters: Isaiah 25-28
Message Title: Safely On The Plane
When you stop to think about it, salvation is like a one way ticket on a plane to heaven, bought and paid for with the blood of Jesus Christ. Once you get on, there is no turning back, you must ride the flight all the way there, and once you get there, true paradise. Now, I imagine that unless we are seriously ill to the point that it's only a matter of time that God comes to get us, we are not really in a hurry to see Jesus any time soon. Do not worry, Jesus is not offended or saddened by that fact, He loves you and the truth is, He is not done with you here yet, you still have work to do. “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.†- John 15:16-19.
Just because we are saved and stuck in a world full of things that just mortify us, that does not mean we have to become them or not help them find Jesus. We are never going to get along with this who live in the world, we are just like oil and water, but we can learn to live peacefully in the midst of the chaos and help Jesus save a few more souls in the process, after all, that is why we are here. Okay, I have said it before and I will say it again, nothing we see today is new to God, and nothing we have learned of the New Testament is any different than the Old. The people of the Old had to believe in the same Savior as we do today, they would simply know Him as the Messiah. This is proven all throughout the Old Testament, especially in the prophecy books. Here is more proof.
“O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.†- Isaiah 25:1,6-10.
Sadly, very few Jews recognize Jesus as the Messiah, if I could have wished on anything in my lifetime is that I would have been born a Messianic Jew. However, it is not required to be a Jew or any other religious sect to be saved, we just have to believe in the Messiah. We may not be able to stop the judgment faced for every nation who goes against God, and we may not be able to help those already dead, but we can help the people today. We can be a witness in Christ Jesus, we can warn those around us of the judgment coming, and tell them of how they too can be saved from a one way ticket to hell, which has a final destination in the lake of fire. Then we who are saved, can rest in the Lord Jesus, who did swallow up death in victory. “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.†- 1 Corinthians 15:52-54,57.
We must understand that the ticket Jesus paid for us to get to heaven is not meant for us to do as we please and expect a smooth destination. If we continue to live in sin, knowing we are saved, we are going to hit a lot of turbulence, some as if we are not even safely on the plane. To be at rest, whether the ride is smooth or rough, we must live so that others can see Christ in us. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust. The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy. The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just. Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.†- Isaiah 26:3-8.
The final judgment is coming to every last nation that is living and or causing His people to live in a sinful state. That pretty much means that every nation will be judged, and our only escape, get on that plane. We may face some severe turbulence, sometimes by shaking the plane ourselves, but in the end, we will arrive safely. “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.†- Hebrews 12:11-13.
Today's Prayer: Jesus, Thank You for purchasing my ticket to heaven when You went to the cross, thank You also for swallowing up death through Your resurrection. I need not fear death because I know I will be with You, until You come to get me, lead me and guide me, give me Your strength to love all, and be a witness to all. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.
God Bless You, I am praying for you,
Christina
