Message: A Voice For God

Hello
My Friend,
You know, when we serve God, we are His voice speaking through our
very own, which is why so many people are deceived, they think anyone
who talks about God is telling the truth, when sadly they are not.
So, how can we stand out from the crowd and be God’s true voice? Be
fruitful.

“For a
good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt
tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own
fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush
gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart
bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil
treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the
abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” - Luke
6:43-45.
Sometimes I imagine what it would have been like if I was right in
the center of Jerusalem hearing Isaiah speak, here this man is
speaking about someone who is going to redeem Israel, and in fact,
someone else begins speaking through him. Through Isaiah we witness
something that no one could ever understand unless you studied the
Scriptures, this is God, the Father having a conversation with His
Son, who would not only be a light to the Jews, but Gentiles also.
This servant wonders if his labor will be in vain because Israel will
reject him.

“Then I
said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought,
and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work
with my God. And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to
be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not
gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God
shall be my strength. And he said, It is a light thing that thou
shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to
restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to
the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the
earth. Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One,
to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a
servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall
worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of
Israel, and he shall choose thee.” Isaiah 49:4-7.
“saith the LORD that formed me from the
womb to be his servant,” This is proof that Jesus and God
are one in the same. I imagine Jesus, in the form of man did wonder
if He was giving His life in vain, He did pray to His Father knowing
that He was about to be captured to take the cup He was to bare, He
also said, not my will, but thine. There are things in our flesh that
we do not want to do, but in the Spirit of God, we can do all things.
Never let anyone tell you that your work for God is in vain, nothing
we do for God is worthless. “Therefore, my
beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the
work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in
vain in the Lord.” - I Corinthians 15:58.
Although God knew that most of the Jews would reject Jesus, He
never gave up on them, they were His people, never forgetting the
promise He made to Abraham. God makes a promise to all who love Him,
He will never leave them.

“But Zion
said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a
woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion
on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget
thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy
walls are continually before me. Thy children shall make haste; thy
destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee. Lift
up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves
together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt
surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them
on thee, as a bride doeth.” - Isaiah 49:14-18.
“they may forget, yet will I not forget
thee.” God is not the God of the Jews or Gentiles, He is the
God of all who believe in Him and are reconciled with Him (redeemed).
While back then ceremonies and observances were necessary to be
redeemed and reconciled with God, they are no longer necessary today,
Jesus changed that on the cross. Through Isaiah we get some insight
as to what Jesus would be dealing with through His crucifixion.

“The Lord
GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how
to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning
by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. The Lord GOD
hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away
back. I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that
plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. For
the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded:
therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall
not be ashamed. He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with
me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near
to me. Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall
condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall
eat them up. Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the
voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light?
let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.”
- Isaiah 50:4-10.
“therefore shall I not be confounded:”
Confound, To mingle and blend different things, so that their forms
or natures cannot be distinguished. We must admit that we are not so
good at being one of God’s voices, we try to live right, but since
we have this flesh our right is not always His right. That is where
the Holy Spirit comes in, He indwells every believer and teaches them
to hear what God is saying, and how to explain it to us and the
world. Many will reject us like they reject Christ, we are of Christ
and that is why they reject us, because we are not confounded to this
world. However, once in a while we will get the attention of a lost
soul who finds Christ, and that is what it is all about, to bring one
more soul to Christ. We cannot always be in the will of God, but we
can to reach others to Christ.

“Brethren,
if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him
know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way
shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”
- James 5:19,20.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and God Himself, could have came up
with any other way to save man, He chose to become man, to be
subjected to sin and the devil, He gave His power over to His Father,
subjecting Himself to temptation, hunger, poverty, and pain. He could
have let man suffer their own judgment only to be cast into hell, yet
He chose to be the sinless sacrifice that would save all who believe
in Him. Even through Isaiah, He pleads with all to come to Him,
before it is too late.

“Hearken to
me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look
unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence
ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that
bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste
places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert
like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein,
thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. Hearken unto me, my people;
and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me,
and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people. My
righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms
shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm
shall they trust.” - Isaiah 51:1-5.
“For the LORD shall comfort Zion:”
Zion, the habitation of peace. One day, all who are redeemed will
join Jesus in Zion. I use to think that no person is capable of
changing their ways, but One person can change anyone, and that is
Jesus. No, He cannot force Himself upon us, no one can, but when we
allow Him to come into our lives and live in it, He truly does change
our ways of doing and even thinking things. How do I know this? He
changed me. By the words of Paul who once captured Christians for
prosecution.

“I know both
how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all
things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to
abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me.” - Philippians 4:12,13. We can do this
through Christ!

Jesus Christ Magnified:
“And I will feed them that oppress thee with
their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as
with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy
Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.” - Isaiah
49:26.

Today's Prayer:
Jesus, As much as I thank You for saving me from hell and my sin, I
still do not comprehend all that You have done for me. It's so
overwhelming that You died for me to save me from something I have
every right to be punished for. Thank You, Jesus. I know there is
nothing I can do to repay You, but I love You, and want to give honor
to You. You are my Lord and Savior, there is no other, and I am glad
that there is no other. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.
