French Fries

As I fulfill the daily activities that are leading up to the conclusion of my 40th year on earth, I have come to one, subtle but interesting conclusion...I love french fries! Wedge, thin, crispy, curly, seasoned, battered, dipped, hot, lukewarm, - it really doesn't matter. In fact, fries go with all sorts of beverages and entrees. You can have a filet mignon and thin long, crisp, delicately seasoned fries or pop into McD's and get the ever so reliable, ever so delectable, ever so delicious McD's bag of fries. Oh, and then there are Island fries...I generally will eat those while visiting my pal Jayne in Summerlin. These fries are served in a huge basket, enough for like 4 people. We get them extra crispy...and yes - Jayne and I can eat the whole basket! Perhaps the best wedge fries are at Red Robin. The wedge fries are served in a bottomless basket! Bottomless! Never ending! Keep 'em coming! With all the ketchup and ranch you need. Well, I suppose I will come upon the best french fry of all time - I haven't yet; however, when I do I will savor the moment. Trust me, it will be a moment to remember!

I agree, there is not a version I don't like, however I do lean toward the crispy thin ones...
