Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel arrived yesterday under sail in Turku, Finland to begin a two-day visit on issues involving the Baltic Sea.

Even though the day was cold, rainy, and windy, Victoria and Daniel spent time mingling with the crowd, shaking hands, accepting flowers and never rushing. Â Victoria, as always, was smiling.
Huge crowds greeted them everywhere as the Finns, who have no royal family, treated them like rock stars.Â
Victoria and Daniel announced in August that they are expecting their first child to be born in March of next year. Â Victoria says she feels wonderful, has a lot to look forward to this fall and will continue her full slate of scheduled events at least through the first of the year.
The Crown Princess couple, the king and queen, and all of Sweden are rejoicing in the news. Â The couple wed a year ago June after a courtship that lasted eight years.
