My Doctor Visit

WELL, I WENT TO MY 3 MONTH CHECKUP YESTERDAY. MY BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS ARE OK. BUT, THE DOC PUT ME ON ANOTHER PILL. THIS ONE IS TO PREVENT OR DELAY ANY MAJOR PROBLEMS UNTIL I AM MUCH OLDER. I GUESS I SHOULD BE GLAD. ITS STILL A LITTLE SCARY TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH RIGHT NOW. I JUST FOUND OUT I AM DIABETIC LAST SEPTEMBER, SO I AM STILL NEW TO ALL THIS.I AM TRYING TO BE AS PROACTIVE AS I CAN IN MY HEALTH CARE. I WILL BE POSTING UPDATES AS I CAN ABOUT MY DIABETES SITUATION. KEEP COMING BACK. I WILL BE WALKING MORE WHEN THE COLD WEATHER FINALLY GOES AWAY. THAT SHOULD HELP WITH THE WEIGHT LOSS.
IF ANYONE OUT THERE READING THIS HAS ANY IDEAS ON BREAKING MY SELF OFF CAFFEINE LET ME KNOW. I HAVE A WAY IF I WERE A COFFEE DRINKER BUT, I DON'T DRINK COFFEE. I DRINK COLAS. DR.PEPPER TO BE EXACT. I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A GOOD PLAN TO BREAK THIS ADDICTION. IF YOU HAVE DONE IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW PLEASE DON'T SAY QUIT COLD TURKEY. I HAVE TRIED THAT-- ALL I GOT WAS REALLY BAD HEADACHES. IT WAS EASIER TO QUIT SMOKING THAN IT HAS BEEN TO QUIT SODA. FIGURE THAT ONE OUT.

Try Root Beer. It has no caffiene but tastes good.

my only advice would be to cut back until you are eventually off the sodas. maybe mix a glass half and half, half soda half sparkling water. I know about those caffeine withdrawal headaches.
